Sorry TSN I had to turn you off

I was trying to watch the Blue Jays tonight but I just can’t stomach another one of those Burger King ads. I had to turn the channel. Needless to say. I’ll never set foot in one of their stores again.

Necessary evil. No sponsors, no show. Be glad they invest their dollars into bringing us the broadcast. And use the mute button.

Why even try to watch a BJs game?

I feel your pain. When I stream CFL games on CBS using Xfinity, they play the same commercial for a site called “Drizzly” each and every break. Were I ever to start drinking, I’d never, ever use their service because of the complete overkill of their advertising.

If TSN direct is an option for you (it might be included with your cable subscription) I highly recommend it. It is possible to pause the live stream, then you are free to skip through the commercials.

The Blue Jays are on TSN? I thought they were on Sportsnet.

Yes I think the guy is very confused.

Probably just an honest mistake. That annoying Burger King commercial is played non-stop during CFL broadcasts on TSN too.

How about the stupid Subway commercial with the double entendre:

“Give me a 12 inch, Momma’s hungry.”

Absolute cringe.

She doesn’t say 12 inch, just 12 (referring to the sub #). Still cringe worthy though.

Another brutal commercial.

Do we really need to see that just as the gametime nachos and cheese dip are brought to the table?

There is no sense of timing or rhythm at TSN either.

They show that toenail fungus treatment ad, or some laxative ad, followed by a commercial for a chicken sandwich!

I very much doubt you are alone here, and I bet the script writer knew what he was doing and that one sailed through undetected.

But these aren’t TSN ads, they are sent to TSN by the sponsors. They pay TSN to run them, without the ads we wouldn’t see CFL football.
But too bad it’s not like soccer where they can run the ads along the side of the field, no stopping the game to run an ad.

Yes but TSN controls the order and flow of the national ads as would any given broadcaster.

That guy has zero sense as compared to his peers like on other networks.

there is so much that is similar on both sides of the border, you would think they (TSN - CBS) could work together to maximize advertising dollars and have some variety in CBS commercial breaks during CFL broadcasts.
