some people should be ashamed of themselves..

HAHA that could be argued quite easily

Free Market.

Maybe we should all be mad at the CFL for charging the prices that they do even at face value.

The game is free in both standard and HD so if people don't want to pay a couple hundred bucks to attend the biggest sports event in the country watch it on TV like the other milions who don't complain. Grey Cup tickets IMO are very well priced for what they are. I figure there are 5000 or more demands for tickets right now and probably around 1000 available so it makes sense that those who are willing to pay the most go I'm glad we live in a free country.

I never pay those scum sucking bottom feeding scalpers anything.

I will never, never, never support their cause. Nothing in this world is worth paying those lowlifes inflated prices.

Hey if you think thats bad, you should see what those "Ticket Brokers" as they like to call themselves are charging for the Gold medal mens hockey game for the Olympics. Outrageous! What I don't get is is why some one would pay their price just to say "i was there".

Grey Cup Looks good om HD TV
Gold medal hockey game, looks good on HD TV

Yeah, I love going to the events! Riderville will be a blast! Just buy tickets at the door easy enough. Plus the parade.. I will have YouTube video of it all! I honestly cannot wait! Yes you folks will get a 3 day break from me this weekend!

I can see you saying "thank god!". Haha..

Although I complain about the prices I will still be there.

aww dont be like that…its going to be a very du8ll forum without you around LOL

In a few years scalping will be a thing of the past.Cause with Ticketmasters paperless non-transferable tickets you will need a credit card. The MTSC in Winnipeg is already using this for some of its concerts. And if Tickedoffmaster does it,I'm sure other sellers will follow.

Man i paid 2000 to get into michigan vs the ohio state university back in 2006 when they were both undefeated.Man tickets for some college games go into the thousands.I’m looking to spend about 3000 to see Miami Hurricanes vs OHIO STATE next year in Columbus. So you cant stop skalping anywhere on this planet if somebody has the money

…^^ yes but that is in American Dollars, so its all relative…btw, when are you guys adopting the metric clock? I heard it was soon but I haven’t seen anything on the news about it…

HOLY CRAP!!! How did I miss this??? :? So, uh, when do you leave, cflisthebest? Tonight? You don’t want to wait too long. All the good tickets will be sold. You should definitely leave tonight. Get an early start on things. You know what they say, the early bird catches the worm!

nope Friday.....

i still have the ability to post, from my BB.. but I won't.

LOL at least you were subtle chief :stuck_out_tongue:

I sympathize with your plight, but man, I haven’t had that good of a belly laugh in a long time. Plus I had images of Daffy Duck saying, “You’re Ditttthhhhpicable.”

Surprise - it’s a free market economy! Supply and demand. Where have you been living, Cuba? If you were a Phillies’ fan looking for World Series tickets at Yankee Stadium and posted this on a Yankees board, you would be laughed off the site.

If guys want to gouge and charge $1,500 for a pair, let 'em. If people aren’t willing to pay those prices, do you think they’re going to eat the tickets? No! The prices will fall. Besides, if you wait closer to kick-off, I’m sure you’ll find some panic sellers around the stadium that will be…ummm…“willing to listen to your offer.”

I know, aren’t they great? Especially the ones with big numbers!

It doesn't look good for anyone who thinks they will get a ticket for a low price. The weather forecast is calling for good weather and they are estimating that as many as 25,000 people are coming from Saskatchewan without tickets, which is the real reason that the scalpers are asking as much as they are. You can blame the sellers but the simple fact is that Rider fans are the ones who are at fault for pushing up the price.

Maybe the CFL should hold back some tickets till the Final teams are determined that way people are able to purchase tickets when there teams actually make it . with the Canucks, season ticket holders can post tickets online if they are not able to make some games , although some try and take advantage of it .but I have found seats that were at face value. but you have to be lucky and quick.
