Soccer before the Pan-Ams

So uh…this is a thing.

The last game our woman’s team plays before the World Cup in BC. I’ll be honest, I’m probably going to go.

Actually the women are not guaranteed to play in BC. The only cities that Canada is guaranteed to play in during the World Cup is Edmonton and Montreal. They have to win them preliminary rounds if they want to get to the final in Vancouver.

Apparently the Voyaguers (Canada’s soccer supporter group) has booked the Coors Light Patio.

Indeed they have.

Canada vs England - May 29th. Our first truly General Admission game. We have the end zone beer garden reserved for Canada's final warm up game before the Women's World Cup. Here are some pictures from our tour of the stadium today.

Just thought I’d give this a bump and see who is coming to this game.

I bought our tickets a few weeks ago when there was a presale for season seat holders. Very good ticket prices.

Sounds like there is a chance it is now going to be cancelled, but being in May hopefully the issues get sorted out.

It should be a great scene this Friday night for the Canada - England Women's soccer game at THF. I just checked Ticketmaster and it looks like they are down to only 600 or so tickets left. And with soccer tickets also selling well for some of the Pan Am soccer games there in July - THF is fast building a reputation as successful host venue for soccer.

I'm really glad to see that this stadium is showing signs of not only being successful as a home for the Ti-Cats - which we all knew it would be - but that it looks like it is going to succeed as a great venue for the city to host other events too. That's great news for Hamilton!
