SO WHERE WAS OUR "LEAPER" PRECHAE?

I can't understand why Prechae wasn't the receiver for the potential TD throw! Don't we want to utilize his leaping ability. I can understand not over working him on his 1st game back - but a couple of tosses on crossing patterns and for sure he should have been running the sideline pattern into the end zone on the interception.

Prechae hasn't been used all year.

It's actually disappointing considering he was such an awesome player last year.

I find that Bauman and Prechae are invisible when they are on the field. We are really only throwing to Bruce or Stala or Cobb.

I think this has to do with our offensive schemes. Our playbook is horrendous and I think my high skool football team had more plays than what the Cats run.

Bauman has been missing in action most of the year. His dependability for making a reception is not as high as it should be and he does not overly impress as Stala for running crisp routes. I dont think he deserves as much time vs. a proven vet like Corey Grant.

Our coaches have no idea what to do with their weapons. If these guys were on any other team they would be catching twice as many balls as they do on the Cats, and that includes Bauman.

Couldn't have said it bettrer!!!!

I definitely agree, they are not using the rec'vrs wisely at all. It made no sense to throw that ball to Currie in the endzone and Prechae not even get one ball like that and then the plays where they need speed they don't use Currie and in the plays were Bauman or Stala are more useful they use a smaller rec'vr, I just don't get it. Bruce is a great player, as well as Cobb, but that isn't the limit, use the players all over the field, and go up the middle (LONG) for crying out loud. The play scheme definitely needs work. The offense is too boring for the talent on the team.

I'm not sure why we didn't throw to him, but I saw him in the Hamilton airport on Sunday morning and he didn't look like he was going to be leaping too high too soon. He was limping noticeably. Stala looked pretty banged up too.

Well… the fact that he was limping is probably the answer. Maybe they put Prechae out there to draw more coverage but were unwilling to put him in a jump ball situation because of the knee. Maybe Prechae has been quiet this year because teams have to make sure he’s double covered, and having him in there injured or not makes other teams cycle their coverage over him more.

8) Well, considering that Bruce is drawing double,(sometimes tripple) coverage, someone has to be wide
open most of the time. We are just not going to those open people.

As mentioned earlier here, the game plan for each game seems to evolve around 1 or 2 receivers,

almost to the point that the other receivers don't even draw a look. <!-- s:roll: --><!-- s:roll: -->

But you have to be able to throw the ball to the guy for him to "Leap"
Porter couldn't scramble or get away to throw the ball. Glen would have been the best bet to scramble and hit Prechae.

In 2-4 secs…and with the errors made on the play(that’s what Marcel said) by a couple of the players…and Prechae still not recovered? from his injury???
Back to reality please. Glenn would have been flat on his back just like Porter.
'Nuff said.

Because Porter can’t read Defences IMO
He dose 1 Read and then dumps off to HB or Runs
Glen can read the field Unlike Mr Porter
We see more Balls to other WR if Glen Started… IMO

That deep ball thrown to Currie that got picked should have been thrown to Rodriguez. The DB covering Currie was the tallest Calgary DB (he had zero trouble cathcing that pick).

That was a dumb call/throw!

That deep ball if it was the one in the endzone was SEVERE pass interference on Brandon Browner yet those bribe taking refs seem to have convieniently missed it.

it’s one thing to say that the refs blew the call. To suggest that there was any dishonesty or cheating is a serious allegation which , if unsubstanciated, has no merit and shouldn’t be brought up.

Loser mentality…the Cats didnt need help losing the game…they did fine all by themselves.

The 2006/07/08 cats were a horrible football team, the 2009 Cats are a fair to good team who are only going to get better once the current QB melodrama plays itself out. They are going to win some games that nobody expected them to win (Edmonton, Calgary, BC) and they will lose some games that they might have won. Rest assured that each close loss bring a lesson to be learned, and if the Cats learn these lessons they will become a great team.

Just don’t blame the refs

Prechae is a warrior, its the play calling that sucks. This is a guy that will give you 100+ yards a game if they give him the ball.

Als4Ever lighten up we don't need some alouette fan preaching to us if the guys want to vent let them :thdn: :thdn: :thdn:

Venting is one thing…

How would you feel if someone went to your boss and told him that you were accepting bribes or stealing company money, or better yet published that opinion on a forum thats open to the public for anyone to see?

CFL refs good or bad do the best that they can, and probably don’t make a whole lot of money doing it. Yeah they can screw up from time to time, and even cost you a game, but thats life in sports.

As far as “what we need” I doubt that the majority of Cat fans don’t have an issue with the integrity of the refs…they have too much class for that.

I have no issue with the integrity of the refs, it's the ineptitude I have a problem with. I don't think they have any particular bias, I think they are equally as clueless in most every game.

I was kind of looking forward to the "meet the players after the game" on Monday because I was hoping for a chance to introduce Rodriguez to our QB's. Seems like they don't even know he's there.
