So, When Does Scott Mitchell Address His Abysmal Grey Cup Record

All is forgiven.

So what your saying is Bradbury has figured out how to infiltrate and control the mind of other officials so that he can continue his conspiracy against the Ticats.
Of course…it all makes sense now.

Also, anyone else notice how Bradbury was conspicuously absent from Dallas the day of the JFK shooting…just saying

Grassy knoll dude, magic bullet. Might even be spinning some of his voodoo to make you post on his behalf.

Mitchell for team MVP

He had an awesome season. Just saying. He really did.

The Caretaker is also a constant! So you want him to sell the team?

Why does a guy who put together a staff and team that ran up a 15-3 record, an EF final win, with a second year, basically back-up rookie QB have to justify a loss in the Grey Cup? A 16-4 record probably merits a raise, or even competing job offers, in most organizations.

In previous years Mitchell could be blamed for not knowing how to assemble a complete crew. He would make many blockbuster moves that were doomed to fail or fall short.

Some examples:

  1. Sign Casey Printers to big bucks on a hot garbage team.
  2. Sign HC Charlie Taffe who was setup to fail with no real talent to work with.
  3. Signs Marcel Bellefeuille. Decent coach but something was always lacking during his 3 years. (QB controversies, poor quality OCs)
  4. Cortez, Burris and Fantuz. Offensive powerhouse but then crippled by Creehan defence.
  5. Austin. Gave him too much power and too many hats to wear. Not sustainable especially when other quality personnel were leaving. Not enough balance to Austin offence in regards to run/pass ratio.
  6. June Jones. Implemented some good ideas (Masoli, Banks) but surrounded himself with too much of his old boys club who weren’t really qualified to be CFL assistants.

However in 2019 Mitchell has finally got it right. Placing top quality people in all the right positions.

  • Burke/Allemang
  • Orlondo
  • Washington, Reinebold, Condell
  • Jim Barker

Too me it appears Scott Mitchell has learned from his past mistakes and controversies and should be finally commended.

Or at the very least we should get off his back. ;D

The first 4 fall under Marcel Desjardins or whoever else was in charge of football operations.

Mitchell is responsible for Austin if you’re in the minority that thinks it was a mistake.

All under Mitchell’s watch. He hired the GMs and signed off on everything.

You have to let your guy do the job.
Desjardins at the time was considered a good football hire. As was Cortez, as was Austin, as was Tillman.

Rob Katz would be the only poor attempt at a football hire I can remember.

Briles.

Actually a great football hire. But a terrible PR hire.

I put that on Jones. Mitchell wouldn’t know Art Briles if he tripped over him
