Bowman gets fined because Picard claims he called him a frog? So its his word against Picard's word with no proof? Bowman might as well turn around and say well he called me a ni**er.

As for Bowman getting fined for an "alleged" comment that Picard said was made ?! :?

Johm Bowman was not fined because he did or did not call Picard a frog.
He was fined because,after the game, he told/said to Herb that Emry had no choice but to retaliate; he said:
"That bastard Picard is the dirtiest player in the League. They basically tried to break Emry's leg.Somebody had Emry low and Picard chopped him".He added: "I don't want to get fined here,but the refs are letting stuff go. It's got to be self-preservation on the field."

If you suspend Emry for the Edmonton game. It might have given an advantage to Edmonton as those two teams are fighting for a playoff spot. Or maybe there are circumstances that were disclosed or showed on film when Mark Cohon made his decision.
Or maybe the size of LaBatte`s cohones is considered a minor offense. 
irony… he says “I don’t want to get fined here” and what happens … over a comment such as that.
Hopefully the league has informed the Jake Ireland and his team to keep a closer eye on M. Picard too.
