Man, that play was straight out of the Three Stooges. It basically encapsulated Maas's TiCat career for me.
What a hoot!! Besides, if you don't laugh, you cry.

I was laughing.
I guess thats what happens when you cant run a team or the team does not respect the leader
I just listened to Charlie on the 900CHML Ti-Cat show today…and it sounds like Taaffe snickered about it as well.
I can’t laugh at it…good for you
Better than going nutser
Sheer nonsense.
Props to Jesse for kicking the ball out of the end zone to mitigate the disaster somewhat.
Re Maas's leadership, I truly believe he is respected by the staff and by the players in the room. It is unfair to rip this man on that point or on the idea that he doesn't compete. He does. In spades.
So did Archie Manning. That's the rub. At a certain point, the nobility of the competitor has to factor into the actual results on the field.
I never felt so low after a game as I did last evening -- and this after living through 1-17. I honestly cannot express the hieroglyphic of "WTF did I just witness?" that I had in my heart leaving the stadium last night. Eerie.
We don't need purple hearts. We need grails. LOL
Oski Wee Wee,
It blows my mind that the centre would just automatically snap the ball without bothering to check whether or not Maas was trying to audible. Absurd. That O-line is just horrific from top to bottom.
I would say more like Laurel and Hardy with the well-meaning Stanley (Maas) patting his head while Ollie fires the ball behind him.
I'd love to see that snap on Youtube. If anyone has it.....

Fortunately, I missed it, and really don't care to see it... I'm depressed enough as it is.
This sort of play happens to every team at some point during the season. I think some people are making way too big a deal out of this...
Did you see Maas’s reaction? Poor guy. He was so surprised. It was one of the most Genuine expressions of surprise i have ever seen. He starts patting his head and then flinched as the ball floated by his head. His mouth froze in shock and his eyes became wide.
I don’t want to make fun of Maas here. Just telling it as i saw it.
This type of thing happens to most all qb's so I don't really think that busting Maas or the center is applicable.
The problem is, 'this type of thing' applies, in the singular, to everything that goes wrong for the TiCats. But it's not just one penalty or botched play. It's a multitude per game and at some point you have to wonder what's going on.
Aw, c'mon, no one's really busting Maas or the center for this one play. This has been such a dismal season, I gotta take my laughs where I can. And sure, this was not a pivotal play in the game and yes, it probably happens to everyone at some point but this was captured so well by the CBC. He turns back towards the center and the ball is already sailing past his head.
His expression was priceless (as was Taafe's WTF look on the sidelines).

Of all the cfl cities Hamilton is the
hardest town on experienced QB’s over
the years. From ZUGER to MAAS,count
the ones between.
Even if Printers ever comes available
he would never want to come here.
I had stepped out and had to "review" the call, but it was a case of bad communication between the centre and the QB.
At least we know that if we ever need a field goal, we can count on someone
Well I don't know about you guys but I was very impressed with Maas's co-ordination. I swear I saw him rubbing his tummy and patting his head at the same time as the ball sailed by him. That's not easy you know. That was the most entertainment he provided all night though. Now, if he could do it on one foot I'd really be impressed.
Of all the mindless drivel i have read over the past day this is the best post.
Well done.
