Sled riding

You know…The REAL type of sled…Wooden slats on a steel frame with steel runners and steerable…aka. The Flexible Flyer. People of a certain age will know what I’m referring to. I have one and use it every winter. In fact I just called the parks department in Montreal to make sure I could slide on the big hill in Mount Royal park and was told that sliding head first is illegal in the city. Is this true?? And…since most of Canada still has usable snow, where can I go sliding up there legally? BTW…I live in Ohio.
