gang tackle, don't arm tackle (last week, it looked like the object of the game was to tap the ball carrier on the shoulder.)
contain butler, don't blitz up the middle every series (running outside is what he wants to do; make him beat you with his arm)
get holmes and vaughan 20 touches between them, at least (they're the best we have at making the first guy miss)
if the offence is dead, give williams a shot (I don't think one fourth quarter heave makes a guy a saviour, but the GM is interim, the coach is interim and the season is pretty much lost: why not get a read on the kid?)
Someone make Maas laugh, or at least smile. Watching him beat himself up is almost as painful as watching him struggle. If he has a sore arm, it might be from self-flagellation. And if it's how he motivates himself, it ain't working.
I know it's not "your" team Ronnie, but please do more than stand on the sidelines, arms crossed, fuming. Talk to a coach, yell at a player, encourage someone, kick a butt, pat a back, something. You're the coach now, and your "I'm not with these guys" demeanour seems to be rubbing off.
Anyway, that's my six cents from section seven. Cheers.
Good list.
About # 5. Good point. Maas seems to have the world on his shoulders. Lighten up! Smile, have some fun, its a game. Get your team loose.
About # 6. Yep, I agree. Ronnie talk to your players. Keep positive. Take a page from Clemons(Argo’s coach) and be a players coach. Don’t shut them out during a game. That’s when they need you the most.
In Ronnie's defence during the first win against Calgary and his second game , a close lost to Monteal, he seemd to be into the game smiling and talking to people around him.
I think he is totally shocked at what he is seeing out there.
8a) Score an offensive touchdown!
8b) After said touchdown is scored, have the ENTIRE offense that was on the field perform a whacked out touchdown dance that puts Calgary to SHAME!!!

AMEN to that brother ... That's why I had the Maas - Sports Psychologist post the other day.
