Should the CFL buy the XFL

The XFL had clearly showed there are plenty of American markets hungry for more football, though I know the same Covid that cut the legs out from under the XFL is doing yet to be determined damage to the CFL, perhaps now is actually the best time to consider investing and expanding. Regardless the CFL is likely going to have to take out significant loans in order to survive this year, perhaps even another bail out deal with the NFL like it did in the 1990's. Rather than take on debt just to survive, if you're going to take on debt why not take out a little bit more and get something for it other than just surviving, but an actual investment in the long term future of the sport. The CFL could likely get the XFL at auction for a pretty sweet deal, then revive only certain teams in certain markets, say St. Louis would be a top one. San Diego, Oakland also come to mind, cities that had NFL teams that will be glad to have football in the fall, since the CFL wont shift its schedule to take over all the XFL's markets, but there is opportunity here. American cities bring larger media markets, better TV rights deals that could become critical revenue needed to better weather the storm. I know investing now seems risky, but there is an opportunity here for the CFL to get the brands that the XFL developed, invested and built that were working well that CFL could benefit from for pennies on the dollar. Besides one has to love the irony that Vince McMahon once wanted to buy the CFL (why he created the XFL 1.0), how fitting would it be if the CFL buys his XFL.
