Should ET try to sign Tony Simmons? I know he wasn’t that great in BC and a bit injury prone, but he’s a good deep man, and well with Dominguez out, he could be a temperary replacement. What do you guys think?
I Think that we should give him a look and that the guy who first replied to your topic needs to get his head examiened because (gulp), much as it pains me to say this, BC has great offence and an amazing defence. Oh and stats are for losers I'm taliking to you Mr. First to reply.
If Eric is talking with Jamel R. why would we consider brining him in. While he has been released by BC, there is not guarntee as to how healthy he actually is. There is no up side for Sask.
Remember that article I belive you posted about that? Did Eric Tillman not say that Jamel’s interests do not include coming North of the border right now…
In fairness, people still seem to think this is the Lions offense of the previous years, they aren’t. They weren’t when Dave and Bucky were healthy at the start of the year, and they aren’t now that Jarious is starting.
Joe Smith has been fantastic, but the passing offense isn’t there at all this year, and when it comes down to it i’ll trust statistics over someone’s opinion.
As far as the bolded part, I guess proper spelling is for losers too
Ah dust you are showing signs of cracking here my friend. When losing an arguement the poster will use speeling as a way to get back. This is a sports forum not a spelling bee. But you both have good points. I always say stats are for losers other then wins and losses. You have to score more points to win and BC was in first up until RLR excuses. Really no offense plays well in the first three to four games of the season. Offenses catch up each game.
I don't hink BC cut him only because he wasn't good, i think the fact that he had 2 back to back season ending injuries had a big part in it. I think he would an okay replacement just for now. Of course is Jamel dosen't come back, which i don't think he will.
Agree, Jamel is still looking for a possible team in the NFL. I suspect he only has another week or two, if he doesn’t sign by then his chances of playing will be over. But if he doesn’t sign with a NFL team, he may be a good addition to the Riders. I would take Jamel over Tony. The two primary reasons are injuries and reliability, I think Jamel is a better receiver.
I can add a third reason: age.
Jamel is only 25, Simmons is 32.
I can’t believe anyone honestly thinks the guy has anything to contribute.
He has been a waste of a roster spot for the Lions his whole career, but the Riders should sign him…?
Yikes!!
