Ticats to tweak secondary against Esks
Posted on July 18, 2017 by Steve Milton // 3 Comments

With a short week and just two practices, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats will make only two changes in their defensive configuration for Thursday night’s home game against the undefeated Edmonton Eskimos.

Will Hill’s return from a one-game suspension means he can resume his role at SAM linebacker, where versatile Keon Lyn filled in last week. Lyn, more naturally suited to cornerback, moves to boundary corner, which removes Ethan Davis, the starter in last week’s 41-26 loss to the BC Lions, from the roster.

Terrence Frederick, who started nine games in Winnipeg’s defensive backfield last year and was signed as a free agent last week, comes onto the roster as a back-up defensive back.

Otherwise, the defence remains the same as the one picked apart by Lions’ quarterback Travis Lulay. There will be no changes to the offence’s starting dozen…

Not having Kanneh and Emanuel Davis is killing us back there :thdn:

Unable Gable Practicing how to run ?! Bulls_it that Austin is throw no run playbook ,how can you run when Gable is unable ?! Cut Banks BS cut this useless over paid blocker !

Scheuerman will be the RB as he was last game, and he played well.

Thank God that #26 Ethan Davis won't be suiting up for this one . The poor guy got lit up like a Christmas tree last game . I can't believe that they gave him the great Garney Henley's jersey number to soil  . Speaking of jerseys I'm not sure about anyone else BUT I'm beginning to wonder IF we're ever going to see Abdul Kanneh or Emmanuel Davis suit up in a game day jersey this season ? .
Let's ask Kent about it shall we , Oh that's right , I forgot , Mr Austin doesn't discuss the "hows" and "whys" of injuries with the little people aka..... the fans !!!! Silly me , never mind  .

Glad to see Lyn stays in the line-up and also think it was obvious who should sit to open up another spot for him.

I liked what I saw from Lyn, and think he can be effective somewhere in the secondary.

What is wrong with Kenneh and Emanuel Davis? An injury update from Austin would be appreciated, even if it's of the vague "upper body" or "lower body" variety.

I agree bobo, If a TiCat is going to wear #26, YOU BETTER NOT PLAY LIKE CRAP!!!!!

EDM update

LB Adam Konar has been placed on the six-game injured list with a leg injury suffered in Friday’s game against the Ottawa RedBlacks. The way things have been going so far this season on the injury front, the Eskimos are fortunate the trend was broken and this one wasn’t deemed season-ending … SB Adarius Bowman sat out another practice and will miss Thursday’s game. SB Bryant Mitchell is set to make his 2017 debut in place of Bowman.
