Conditions are favourable for the development of dangerous thunderstorms that may be capable of producing damaging wind gusts and torrential rain.
Rapid development of thunderstorms possible this afternoon in the region. Wind gusts to 90 kilometers per hour and torrential downpours are the main hazards.
Doesn’t look too promising.
Line of thunderstorms along the 401/403 corridor into parts of the western GTA along the QEW may produce 90 km/h gusts and small hail through the next hour. 1257 pm
It is walls of rain with all kinds of bolt lightning. We would for sure be in a lightning delay if we had started at 1:00PM. This my current view overlooking downtown from my Queen Street balcony.
That’s not fog - it is walls of rain.
Hopefully this clears out quickly.
Looking at the radar on the weather network it looks to be clear at game time. Fingers crossed
Checked weather network dropping down to 40%between 4-6pm then clearing up! Poor box J Boyz tailgating in a monsoon! Heading down to Chappie lot I later to tailgate I hope ?!?
The rain seems to have rolled through - but it is still quite the light show out there. Several bolts of lightning every minute as I look east out over Tim Hortons Field from my balcony downtown.
