Absolutely…that penalty was the only time I even noticed Millington on the field. I did see him head to the locker room early before halftime though. 8)
Don't be too surprised to see Millington either cut by the Argos or have him go back to CBC once it returns. Whichever comes first. Don't think his comeback will last too long.
I doubt you will see him leave the team too soon. I don't know who he replaced on the Argo roster but I am sure they would have thought how long a chance he might need before they call this a good call or a bad idea.
Unless the player decides he is toast, I doubt Clemons would gas the guy after one outing and only a few sessions. Not sure I'd have put a guy like him in a game that fast for a lot of reasons including facing my team and the guy I dumped to get Millington in. The speech would be reminescent of a speech a pro coach gave to a friend of mine (soccer) who came back from an ACL in the playoffs despite his physio (top guy) saying don't do it. He played great in the semi and then moments before the final the coach came to him and said he was not playing that day and don't ask him to justify the decision as the coach couldn't.
Pierce-I learned a lot about perseverance. Things aren’t always going to go your way. I’ve become so much more aware of the realities of the game and life…Things can be taken away from you. You can either sit back…or overcome it and fight through it....
Millington may have done nothing so far with Toronto, but that puts him at par with John Avery. Hey, at least Millington didn't fumble the ball five times.
