Seahawks release Alexander

"The Seattle Seahawks released Shaun Alexander, all-time team rushing leader, 5-time 1,000+yard seasons, only 2 years after signing a $62 million contract as the franchise's cornerstone."

This caught me off guard. I know he has injury problems, but he is still the best Running Back in the league, one of them anyway. I thought they would of at least waited to the end of the contract to let him go.

Anyway, there's no doubt in my mind, he'll find a training camp in August.

One of the best? Nah man Brian Westbrook is one of the best, if not the best running back in the league today. Next to LT of course.

E! A! G! L! E! S! Eagles!!!!

Yeah, Alexander is NOT the best. Near the top ? Tough to say.

I wonder where he will end up.

Oakland?
Arizona?
???

Good Lord I hope not.

Brian Westbrook is a TOP 3 back. He can do everything. Shaun Alexander is no good anymore.

He has to be some good. Doesn't he?
What? Did he only have 3 seasons? If that? - at his peak.

He must still have some tackle-breaking and a few jukes in him yet. Don't he?

Yeah I was surprised to read that too, but the NFL seems to have an endless supply of talented Running backs.

He meeting with the Bengals on monday. Wherever he goes he's gonna be a backup. He's not going to be able to start, imo.

I Think He's Going to the bengals
