REGINA — The Saskatchewan Roughriders defence dominated in a Division battle that kept the Winnipeg Blue Bombers to a single-digit score Friday night.

Hey Calgary, do you see what’s possible when you fire a Dickinson??

Riders were going to beat the Bombers on the ground & they have a much better D. Bomber DL has 33 yr old Jefferson & that’s the best they got. They’re dead last in rushing yds allowed & exceeded that total again. The offence is barely averaging 20 pts/game & that’s going down after tonight. Zach - another poor decision on the INT. Getting some injured back would help but I don’t see any easy fixes here.

With a game in Toronto next & then 2 vs BC it may get worse before it gets better. The good news is Kelly isn’t due back yet.

If the Elks ever get their act together & beat the TiCats twice over the next 3 weeks, you could have a dogfight at the bottom considering the Bomber schedule & Stamps getting the Argos back to back, possibly with Kelly on board. You could clearly see a West with the Lions & Riders putting a lot of distance between the other 3 over the next month. :sunglasses:

Two former saskatchewan roughriders, Vernon Adams Jr. and Justin McInnis separating the BC Lions Football Club from the rest of the pretenders in the CFL, nobody can touch the Lions in the West Division. Look for a BC Lions Montreal Alouettes 2024 Grey Cup game because it’s going to be a good one.

Other than bitter bom1980 it sure is quiet here. Nothing but crickets. Where are all the Riders naysayers? You can keep pointing out all you want how past Roughriders, Adams and McInnis are lighting it up this year, and you’re absolutely right. But how about past Roughriders Callaros and Demski? What did they combine for last night, other than a big L?

Despite the loss last week, I’m sure enjoying the progression of this restructured team and new coaching staff. Overcoming injuries and a promising young back up QB is all very exciting!

Not even close to reality. Not yet at labor day. Even then lots of football to play

Riders have a different mentality under Mace. Last two years under Dickenson were excruciating. How refreshing to see the change! Kudos to offensive coordinator Mueller as he has given Shea Patterson great play calls. When he is blitzed Patterson and the receivers know exactly what to do. How about Ajou Ajou shaking off Bighill like a mosquito. Bombers are getting old very quickly. Collaros, Jefferson and Bighill are not scaring anybody and how about Demski being caught from behind by the middle linebacker! Looks like a changing of the guard for sure!

Oh those riders, oh those same ole sask roughriders will implode like they usually do somewhere along the line 2024 cfl, it’s in their dna. Then gullible riderville goes back to whining blah blah blah.

faninthestands,
Don’t be so gullible, get off the green koolaid.

Riders should get the benefit of the doubt. Calling another forum participant gullible is off-side (5 yard penalty) in my opinion.

Your opinions and logic sound like a bag of cats. Maybe let the grownups discuss for a while because you have had to much sugar already. You say things but they make no sense.

I assume you sent this before the Lions lost their second game of the season. Heads up that your team didn’t get this memo of how they are so much better than everyone else who are only pretenders.

I still think it will be sweet to win on the road to the GC this year, but the Stamps are making that goal a tough road. Gotta start getting some wins.

Yeah. We gotta win. And as Ringo would say if he was a Bomber fan, “We also need to get a little help from our friends out East”.

Ottawa’s got to roll over the Stamps for us while we squeak by the Argos this week. Fingers crossed. :beaver:
