I hope so but don’t know. Cap space would be an issue I would think. If Winnipeg was seriously interested you would think they would be the leading candidate. I don’t know Sankey’s wishes at all. Would he sign in say Edmonton for an extra $10,000? I’m not sure why any player with multiple choices who wants to win and only wants to visit the circus on off days would presently sign with Edmonton.
I think they had some savings with Lawler, Wilson & Rose all on IR, and I do think they were in on Lemon with that. Now that Lemon’s gone, I think Sankey has to be part of the plan.
