REGINA -- The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed non-import kicker Sandro DeAngelis and import defensive lineman Jay Alford.

Financial details of the agreements announced Monday were not released.

The five-foot-nine, 195-pound DeAngelis is a five time West Division all-star, three time CFL all-star and was named Most Outstanding Canadian of the 2008 Grey Cup.

The Niagara Falls, Ont., native joined the Calgary Stampeders in 2005, before signing with Hamilton for the 2010 season and most recently the Montreal Alouettes for 2011.

Milo is 11/17 on FG attempts so far this year, and at this time he has the league's worst FG percentage. But if he didn't miss on that FG attempt against us late in the 4th quarter, would this signing have happened? Just wondering...

If DeAngelis can find a way to make a comeback in Saskatchewan, he and Milo could complement each other well. Milo may not have been as successful on FG attempts lately, but his punting and net punting averages are the best in the league among those who have punted more than twice this year.

Sandro has been garbage ever since he changed his cocky personality to Mr nice guy in Hamilton
