Sam Young - a Ti-Cat

Ex-Lion .... and West all-star corner back ... Sam Young .... is now a Ti-Cat!

Craig Smith will know this guy well

Danny Mac scorched him in his first CFL game ... but he is good

He is – he will fit in well here!

Oski Wee Wee,

Confirmation please?

Good move, I was going to suggest we sign him last week.

From the Hamilton Spectator:

"General manager Rob Katz has added some defensive-back depth with former B.C. Lion Sam Young and Arnold Parker, who spent some time in NFL camps.

“We had some spots on our practice roster so we brought them in to look at. You never know when you’ll need someone,” said interim head coach Ron Lancaster. “We’ll have a chance to see them practice this week.”

Lancaster is familiar with Young, released by the Lions recently. He recorded four defensive tackles and a pass knock-down in three games this season.

Young, 27, started all 18 regular season games last year and the west championship. He had three interception returns, including one for a touchdown and in 2004 led B.C. with five interceptions."

Oski Wee Wee,

Nice work by the Ticats to add some experienced depth to the defensive secondary.

I’ve quoted it above.

That's right, I remember seeing it on CH news on the weekend. forgot their names though...

Hi oski-oui-oui:

Sorry about the redundancy of posts. I did not see your earlier post with the direct link until after I submitted my post. I then went back in and edited my first post before becoming aware of your second post.

possible safety prospect?

seriously, i'm just asking, i don't remember his style of play all that well.

or is this guy just here for depth?

Prior to being released a week or two ago, Sam Young had started 39 consecutive games at cornerback for the Lions. He may start out in a reserve role but could work his way into a starting role if one of the other cornerbacks falters.

The other new defensive back, Arnold Parker, who spent some time with Seattle and San Francisco in the NFL, has apparently played cornerback and strong safety. In an interview on CHtv the other day, he said he even played some linebacker in college.

who would he be replacing on our secondary? kornegay??

Has Sam Young given any interviews yet?

Thnx
