Safety Concerns at THF

They had to expand the concrete bases of all the outside pillars that reach the ground on the east side months ago and also weld extra cross peices in to strengthen it. That sure sounds like the structural problems has been addressed to me.

The east stands have sunk several inches. That is documented.

Have they prepared for 12,000 more bodies?

Have they prepared for another freeze/thaw cycle?

All questions that we will find answers to. My belief is that the stadium will be fine for this season after they have taken corrective measures to the east stands, which they have.

However in the short term, there are still way too many areas of potential liability to ISO, the Province, The City and the TiCats. Should ANYONE turn an ankle, fall on an exposed piece of equipment or whatever… Its’ called Risk Management. The occupancy permit can’t be issued until all risks (or legitimate risks) have been mitigated.
