Roughriders Discussion - 2025 Season

Agree the guys who’ve played all year should be out there. Robustelli.

But that throw was on Harris and it was to Ajou who’s been in for 3-4 games now. Can’t blame emilus or bane. But we sure can blame Lauther and the shit secondary. Fields Onyeka amd Sapp were owned.

Ya I don’t know about that o nyeja. He never seems to be in the right place,

Took about 4 years for Lokombo to be reliable. Now that he is I miss him.

That’s not good if your main backups don;t know where to be, that’s on the coaching. If he can’t do the job, find someone who can.

Emilus was jammed at the line. It might have been his route and Ajou when he saw that may have tried to get there instead. All i can tell from watching the replay is that Harris saw what was happening and threw a shorter pass to the sideline than what was likely a preplanned corner pass. All guesswork and speculation but it carries as much water as saying someone ran the wrong route.

Emilus was jammed and Harris saw it. Thats all i know for sure.

The extra NI WRs make shifting the entire game lineup to suite your wishes possible. Being able to tailor our lineup to match the team we are facing will be a huge asset going forward. Harris just needs to get used to the timing for guys he hasn’t played with every week. Won’t take long.

I am fully aware that the stamps don’t play us again. I have our full schedule in my memory. I meant to say that they would have 6 losses before we played again. Brain farts R us. In fact, i have committed to memory the remaining schedule of all teams fighting for playoff spots in the West.

And, it is only BTW, but Lions may end up in second, thus we won’t likely see the Stamps again in the playoffs. First off, though, 2 important wins, not must wins, but close, vs. OTT. and Tranna.

My biggest beef with that play is: you need only 3 yards, why throw a pass that travels 30 yards in the air? There are several short plays designed to get you 3 yards. ie. All the second down plays where they throw 7 yard passes, and have to punt.

100%. Tommy Tsunami or AJ time. Seems like two point converts are usually more difficult a throws aimed at what would be needed in a 2nd and 7 or 8 yard play.

Onyeka is gone and Fair is taking all the FG reps. Reavis is practicing at safety. Anybody heard anything about Lokombo or Campbell?

I haven’t. Letting Onyeka go for his conduct is a little open ended but I don’t expect mace to elaborate.

KSB! Gotta love him. Also not a huge fan of making changes this time of year. Or, are these changes coming just in time?

Do we have enough Canadian receiver talent to start 4 with backup?

And if so can we fix our secondary in time with Americans?

Campbell, lokombo, ford, ray and Sayles all did not practise today. Sayles apparently a vet day or whatever they’re calling it. Piecing our D together this week might not be the end of the world but I sure hope these guys are healthy for Winnipeg and BC

Could be that Milligan made a bad call on the one TD but clearly Onyeka had deep coverage there and blew it. He also whiffed on the Rankin TD ramble that he had a clear shot at and then the long gain that allowed EE to kick their final FG. Onyeka was a big factor in the last 17 Elk points. Wonder if he was frustrated?

Campbell is a concern. Head injuries suck. The others are bone and muscle, All good.

Could do that if we played nothing but man coverage. Teaching zone and learning to communicate well takes time.

Do you mean you wonder if he was frustrated and did something stupid to beach the “code”?

Looks like Cory Mace listens to us!

Or put receivers in who can actually remember the plays, not someone who has a bad memory., or maybe isn’t putting the effort into studying the playbook.

Our backfield is going to get eaten alive again tomorrow. Dalke backing up reavis at safety and Sap on corner with a backup I haven’t heard of. Sayles is a game time decision. Sketchy sketchy.

Redwine has been in the NFL since his rookie year. Fourth round pick in 2019 i think. Never the less it took Campbell a couple games to fully adjust back and he started out playing 3 dn.

Sapp III is doing ok.
