CALGARY — Jamal Morrow rushed for 133 yards and Nic Marshall had the game-winning interception in overtime to give the Saskatchewan Roughriders a rare win over the Calgary Stampeders at McMahon Stadium on Saturday.
And the consensus was the riders were going to be dead men walking this season.
What a pleasant surprise.
Still thoogh, at this point I do not see anyone getting past BC this 2023 playoffs
Totally agree, the veteran bested the newbie all night long…but otherwise these are equally placed teams and one of them will be fourth n the west this year…
i’m just of the opinion that all things being equal, quarterback play will generally determine the outcome. Stamps run game should be feared but their OL doesn’t seem as strong this season. if i’m Dickenson, i’d be nailing Meier to the bench and playing Stevenson and Carey (when he’s back) in wildcat every offensive play.
I can see why Dickenson likes Maier he is a straight-shooting, no-nonsense talker and his play on the field should steadily improve with his positive demeanor.
