Ron Joyce gives to McMaster football

A great move by Ron Joyce of Tim Hortons who just gave $10 mill towards the football stadium project at McMaster. The largest private donation to a Canadian university athletics facility in Canadian history. Great for CIS football and ultimately the CFL too. Hopefully the people with money in the Maritimes or Quebec City and the governments can do the same and help get a stadium and a team out there.

That’s great news for McMaster and CIS football. Hopefully someone can step up and do the same here in K-W as the old University stadium is looking pretty run down these days. With 2 teams in town (UW, Laurier) there’s a lot of use for the single stadium.
