The guy stomped all over the Elk last night too
He’s not “among defenders having and mop caliber season”, he’s THE defender having an mop caliber season.
He should win DPOY.
Zero reason to give a DB MOP when we have a dedicated defensive award. Give him MOP and you have to give him both.
Why should only the O players be considered for MOP. Outstanding players play on both sides of the ball.
Because we already have an award for the best defensive player.
Let’s move to a MOOP and a MODP and end this nonsense.
If he wins MOP by default he has to win DPOY.
And unless they change to that format, a D player can be MOP.
Of course they can, it’s happened. But it makes no sense as you’ll have to give him both awards
The same thing happens if a Canadian gets MOP, he gets top Canadian also.
