Jake Dolegala played above and beyond expectations while Zach Collaros did the exact opposite. Nothing was expected of Dolegala but he delivered anyway and that huge green crowd has a new 6’ 7" sheriff in town to look up to… waaaay up.
It was a huge win for the Riders but that brain dead penalty by Pete Robertson will likely result in a suspension. None the less, huge composure shown by the entire team to overcome that penalty and finish off this game strong for the W!
It will be even tougher to win next week, hopefully the Riders don’t party to much after this big win. Gotta stay level headed. Go Riders go!
Very entertaining game and just a little happy the Riders won this one… for the fans mostly. Even after the head but that gave the Bombers a TD over a FG.
Riders need to start being taken seriously by people ( myself included since I called them discount east ) team could very well challenge for the first spot of the west.
It seems like the three west teams are basically all clustered together for first while the east will be an easy win by the Argos and for second which team can mess up the least out of the rest.
The idea that a headbutt well after the play isn’t a rough play disqualification is laughable. He should be referred for criminal assault charges and released immediately from the league.
An accidental head to head hit is unfortunate. That was a crime. No different than if he just did it walking down the street.
Anyone with that little control over their behavior has no business in a professional setting. He’s a danger to opposing players.
Did you see his interview at the end of the game. with that new TSN reporter with those spiders on her eyelids?
He bent down and sat on his knees for the short little lady and she still had to look up.
The Bombers declining the No Yards penalty and giving up the single sure seemed to backfire on them. I understood Winnipeg giving up the second single because the punt returner wasn’t likely going to get out of his end zone. But, was field position that important for the Bombers giving up the rouge putting them down by 3? In the end, that decision cost them the game.
Welcome to the forum!
We’ll never know if a single decision cost them the game. Each team always makes adjustments in play calling based on the current score. If Sask were down by 4 instead of three on the last drive, for example, they would’ve gone for the TD and could’ve won it in regulation.
While I still think Winnipeg is the better team, the Riders played a better game yesterday.
Horrific officiating. The Rider D lineman hammering Oliviera repeatedly pounding him on the ground after whistle. The non-call on the Lawler pass interference. The head butt! No ejection! I hope he is suspended for the rest of the season. Riders played dirty but the Refs turned the other way.
Not too mention Schoen dropping 3 balls.
Very surprised you had the last sentence in there.
By the way bombers have played that type of football with every single win they have had the past 3 seasons… And every loss too for that matter. It is exactly how WINNING teams play every game … Despite the sour grapes whine of a few disgruntled fans that cannot see the Forrest for the trees. If you had a real argument then there never have been ANY fines given out to bomber players in past games, that is far from the truth despite your false assessment
So you support Robertson for intentionally trying to injure our Quarterback? He’ll get a max fine and hopefully a suspension for the rest of the year. Deliberately intending to injure means you don’t belong.
And it’s FOREST not Forrest, Mr. Gump.
I love physical football, and thats how I expect my team to play. But there were plently of cases yesterday where the Riders where over that line.
I’ll give them credit, they came ready to play, but the refs let too much go.
Dont say stupid things… Of course not. Your assessment on the head butt is far worse than the reality of what happened… Addm big hill had done just as bad several times himself as a bomber and even more as a Lion… Get over yourself
