Riders sign NFL vet Rashard Robinson

REGINA — The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed American defensive back Rashard Robinson.

Robinson (six-foot-two, 177 pounds) joins the Green and White with five seasons of NFL experience. The Florida native was selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the fourth round, 133rd overall, of the 2016 NFL Draft. He played 14 games in his rookie season with the 49ers and tallied 28 tackles and one interception, including five tackles and three passes defended in his first career start.

The riders have signed NFL cornerback Rashard Robinson
But he has been suspended many times by multiple teams in the NFL for drug related charges (including performance enhancing drugs) according to 3 down nation. I guess Craig Dickenson didn't learn anything from the problems he had with players last year. This guy is a walking time bomb ready to go off and cause the Riders a whole lot of problems.

Yes this looks bad hopefully he will be cut before the season starts.

Good signing

Culture has seemed to be a priority for Reynolds and O'Day since they took over. Desperate people sometimes do desperate things.

Personally I like the size and as a cornerback the job is not that complicated.

One of the few questions left is who will play safety.

Dalke or Godfrey Onyeka is my guess

I wouldn't mind seeing Jeremy Clark at safety if he gets moved off the corner. Onyeka might be a candidate to play SAM depending on Teitz. Could also be that someone new wins the spot out of camp. Not sure what to think about Nelson Lokombo.
