Nice. Look forward to seeing him lined up next to Rose.
Guess the writing’s on the wall for Lanier.

I Like it. Still took on double teams in 2024 despite his age - one of those rare guys. Teamed with Rose they are going to be hard to play against. I usually don’t say this due to his age, but VG signing IMO. Riders doing an excellent job to date of putting together a very tough team in the West.

Excellent news. At 36 I’d be concerned but this stud played 18 games last year including stepping into an Oline role. Definite keeper. His experience alone is invaluable.

Lets hope that isn’t needed this season. :crossed_fingers:

Micah just keeps rolling along like old man river. I thought with the Rose signing he may not have been offered a contract. Obviously I was wrong. Good on Micah. Riders D-line will be formidable this year

Being a GM is easy when you just hand out checks. I could do the job and would take half of what Oday is paid

Which is exactly why Dickenson will be out of a job by Labour Day!! Can’t/ won’t sign cheques (which is how you spell cheques)…

I think its sad we have arrived at the day when the only way to build a franchise is coveting all the big names of the day. What happened to developing your own talent? Stamps used to do it all the time, but short term deals and incompetent and lazy GMs have made that hard. Who will bring the new talent into the league now? Like the Micah Johnsons and Mike Rose???

Fyi… both cheque and check are fine in todays english…

Nice to see a new member here!…. But welcome to the argument club. Why the heck do you think Oday will be out of a job? People been saying that for 2-3 years but he has done a great job recruiting and finding talent and retaining the right talent!

Welcome aboard. Lots of Rider guys, some of them actually not too annoying.:smile:

Oday? He said Dickenson will be out of job

Oh!! Haha. Wtf was I reading?

Stampland pointed out my error… somehow I read Dickensin as Oday. Probably me the trauma I still carry from having had a Dickenson at the helm of the team for much to long here in SK

Craig D was you goach because Chris Jones walked out on you had everyone but rider fans knew would happen. Craig is an excellent STC

Yes I’m know what happened. For the first few years after the man in black departed the names Dickenson and Oday were often said together, positively through 2019 and 2021. Then 2022/23 happened and everyone wanted their heads. While Oday was most likely partly to blame it became real obvious in 2023 that Craig D was not the right man to coach the team. I liked him personally and he probably is still a great special teams coach, to your benefit, but I’m glad he’s gone.

Oday is, I believe, the real deal.

he’s good at signings checks

And finding talent. Oday and his team have come up with lots of players outside of just picking them up at free agency, which is a necessary part for every team.

A salary cap prevents GM from reckless spending. It’s a level playing field. Unlike Jeremy 0’Day who has built a strong team with excellent signings, Dave Dickenson figures that Vernon Adams will single handedly turn around the franchise. Cutting ties with Vaughters and Rose was a big mistake. As of now the Stamps are behind the eight ball. Dickenson is out of his depth as GM
