I do not think “shunned” is appropriate. I think that those who won awards were well-deserving of their awards. None happened to wear green, but that does not mean that they were not deserving
Cam Judge should have beat out Muamba
It’s close. Muamba has a big lead in tackles, Judge in sacks and interceptions.
Seems to me though that the voters have a bias in favour of middle linebackers over WILLs and SAMs because they are seen as the QB of the defence and it’s generally considered a more important position for that reason.
The award winners were very much deserving. Would hate to see team areas become open season though
