With CFL Teams approaching the half way point in their 2015 season the Riders are 0-8 start so far, pretty dismal start to the year after losing Darian Durant and pretty much on a downward spiral since but how many games do you think this team will win this year or if any?
The Saskatchewan RoughRiders team would post back-to-back 2–14 seasons in 1979 and 1980, with ten games remaining in the CFL this year will the Riders match this record, win more games or lose more?
I think their first win will come at home against Winnipeg on Sept 6 other than that who knows?

There's no way that team will go winless. They have to be one of the unluckiest teams in recent memory. The only game that they had no chance in was the Edmonton game.
First 3 games of the season they took a lead into the 4th quarter. Outplayed the Argos and Lions pretty badly and yet lost. They've been tied or ahead of both Hamilton and Calgary in the 4th quarter, probably the consensus top two teams this year so far.
Penalties and just getting no bounces has done them in. You could make an argument they've played better on the whole than BC and Winnipeg, and it wouldn't surprise me to see them finish ahead of one of those teams.
It's an 0-8 team that with even a little bit of luck could be 3-5 or 4-4. They have a better point differential than Ottawa, Winnipeg, and BC, teams that have a combined 10 wins.
...I thought they'd take the stampeders at home after their bye this past weekend, and they almost did, but now I'd say they'll take one of the bomber games...won't get more than 4 wins though total, maybe 3...
It's oh so convenient to blame 0-8 on Durants injury, but that is a complete cop-out and denial of everything else wrong with the team. Durant's loss hurts their offense but they've blown several games they should have won because the defense collapsed.
Maybe they were a little over rated at the beginning of the season.
I doubt Durant being in there would have changed much of anything. With the exception of one game, putting points on the board has not been the Riders issue. Even the combined INT's of the 4 Rider QB's that have played this year (Durant, Glenn, Smith and Sunseri) so far just equals Lulay's total.
If anything that has been overrated on the Riders, it is the coaching staff.
This team went from one of the top ranked d to the worst practically over night. Getting rid of Hall was the worst decision made by Chamblin in his time here. In their defense half the secondary and their starting middle line backer have been out most of the season.
Is that the same Chamblin that was deemed a genius by Rider Nation back in 2013 ? The same Chamblin that was deemed to be the absolute BEST Head coach in the league and won the COY Award in that same season over the likes of Kent Austin and John Hufnagel ? The same Chamblin whose W/L record his last 17 games coached now stands at 2 wins and 15 losses ? The same Chamblin who earlier this year deemed himself a "Great coach" ? So basically it comes down to 2 things....#1-Either Chamblin has forgotten everything that supposedly made him a COY winner in 2013 and a "Great Coach" or #2-Perhaps maybe just maybe Chamblin was never as good as he, the Rider fans and the league thought he was in 2013 when he won that award.
Now with all that being said let me finish off by saying that the Riders are probably the best 0-8 team I've ever seen, but 0-8 nonetheless. My guess is that this team finally wins a few down the stretch but not that many.....Let's say 4-14 at best.
... I don't remember anyone ever claiming Chamblin was the best coach. Even in 2013 they struggled down the stretch. Chamblin also beat your beloved ticats three times that season pretty handily. Win a Grey cup in the new millenium and we will talk.
:D We're working on it :D Good Luck the rest of the way this season to you and your beloved Riders  (Believe me being a Cat fan I know what 0-8 feels like )

Actually looking at the Riders remaining schedule , call me crazy but I can see this team finishing up with a possible 7-11 finish or even 8-10. The only real tough games that they have left are at Hamilton and at Calgary. The other 8 games are very winnable games. In fact I could even see this team if they manage to somehow win the next one vs the REDBLACKS going on a bit of a run of anywhere from a 4 to a 6 game win streak, BUT on the other hand they could just as easily lose them all by a fg or less the way their season has been going. Kind of a goofy year going on out in the prairies this season....To say the least !!!
Yea well when the hoopla is all said and done - Hamilton loses yet again to Calgary in Winnipeg and my god The Burn the Witches Volume thread is set on fire......gobble, gobble, gobble :cowboy:
