It just doesn't make sense that the Riders would trade a 1,000 yard Cdn rusher. I wonder if Calgary paid some cash to the Riders for him in addition to the player they gave them?

The only weather element of concern is the wind, it's not the cold or snow or rain. Look at that game a couple of weeks ago against Calgary, the QBs couldn't even pass with the wind at their backs. Seems they should start nick naming Hamilton the windy city.

Basically it comes down to the injury to Dan Federkeil and having to play 2 Imports at OT. Messam gives them NI depth & solidifies the RB position.
