Riders Face Challenge With Hakim Hill

I just read an article about the riders & Hakim Hill & there uncertain to whether they can get him a work visa to allow him access to Canada.

Hill was a member of the 2005 Argos, But was forced back to the US by governemt orders because of alcohol related charges.

Im pretty sure he'll get the work visa he needs, but wouldnt you think the Riders would have waited until he had it before signing him to a contract?

I think the way it works is that in order to get the visa, you have to have a signed job offer in hand.

Presumably the 'Riders have structured the contract and any bonus to be contingent on getting the visa, so it's no risk to them.

The Riders will suspend him if he doesn't report to TC
and cut him when all hopes for a work visa are dashed.

Total cost = Zero dollars.

There are no guaranteed contracts in the CFL.

P.S

It was last season when he was turned down for a visa.

He has been walking the right path for a year more now.

A year of no jail time does not impress me much.
Multiple offender means repeat offender.

Sask should have stayed clear especially with them just getting the HIV infected Trevis Smith story in their past.
Who do they think they are, Cincy Bengals?

He was cut...not suspended

Unless he was paid a signing bonus before these events.
