CFL action, REDBLACKS vs regina.

Let me enunciate, starting with a Capital Letter B _ BORING game!

*side note Who let a very unenthusiastic very Boring mundane Marshall Ferguson behind a live CFL game time broadcast microphone?

Both Ottawa and regina not going very far should they make the 2024 CFL playoffs.

Always with the rider hate. Hope you’ve got enough supplies to survive the winter living under your bridge.

RedBlacks firing on about half their cylinders, with turnovers negating the any momentum they generated. The INT’s on the long balls meant they kept to the short game for the most part. Tough to watch.
D held up pretty well, esp considering key injuries, but seemed to tire near the end on those big Rider gains (ie. poor tackling).
Hardy had another great game. And Hunter was a missile.
But RBs will have to figure out how to get back in a groove in a hurry.

You guys are banged up just like the riders, masoli needs more reps and i think he’s still a very good “b” option quarterback. I think he’s got magic left just needs to work kinks out, you guys will make the playoffs and hopefully healthier by then. If love to see the redblacks upset Toronto and Montreal in the post season. You’ve got good gabs who stick around through the lows and you’ve suffered enough bad seasons. Your defence tired out a bit in the second half but both teams were taking hard, Might not have been much for touchdowns but a real football fan cab appreciate the way these defenses played. Every tackle was hard and aggressive but clean… with exception of evans at the end, that was bush league and will be fined. As a rider fan I’ll admit i feel he deserves a game suspension for that. I was happy he missed but the game would have been much different if your young receiver hadn’t dropped that gift touchdown later in the game. Hold your head up, you guys get a bit healthier and link the chemistry up you can beat any team.

Hate, most definitely not, hate a very serious word! Opinions based on astutely observed post game breakdowns along with ongoing team organizational news across the CFL landscape.

Doesn’t get easier for the RBs, on the road in Montreal, then on the road in Toronto and at home against the Ticats. The lack of the starting LBs showed and the O line didn’t give Masoli any time at all.
A couple of weeks ago they were almost guaranteed a playoff spot now they could easily miss the playoffs.

You’re right. By CFL standards it was boring, only twice as exciting as the CFI (Cure for Insomnia) that TSN broadcasts on Sunday. And I’ll bet you are making Rider fans outside of Regina even angrier than you usually do by calling them the Regina team. My experience is that fans outside of Regina resent the team being called the Regina Roughriders as much as we in the interior and on the Island resent our B.C. Lions being called the Vancouver Lions.

Curious how the season goes. So many ups and downs. Early season the Bombers record proved they were the worst team in the league. The Riders looked like GC contenders. Then in mid season it flipped on its head and the opposite happened. Now things could point to a Rider / Bomber west final. Obviously BC is still very much in contention, but the season has been crazy. Anything… everything could happen! ESPECIALLY IN THE PLAYOFFS. One and done.

But the Sunday TSN broadcasts will get twice the ratings, I haven’t seen an NFL game as sloppy and boring as that Riders/RBs game.
Not sure about that second game either, EIGHT FGs in a game??

I’ve seen lots of boring NFL games. Part of sports. The CFL season has been terrific. A lot of close games. The leagues are different. On any given game either team can win and every game has exceptional plays. Several weeks ago Lauther had a bad game against Montreal. He missed 4 field goals and the Riders lost a nail biter and people said it was a good game. Now he makes 7 and some say it was boring. lol. It’s sports …unpredictable! The CFL is that. Makes it fun to watch.

Should have given these kudos out earlier … those first 2 interceptions were great plays by the Rider DBs. Milligan has done that same trick many times before. And Sayles made a really smart play on that 2nd INT.
I think those plays were more due to smart D by Riders than due to bad throws by Masoli.

wonder when the rider team will be fined for winning the game …
