:cowboy:

Rider Pride Nation Wide!!!

That would be two of the last three years the team of the year has come from the CFL. The 3rd was the Womens National Soccer team and its Olympic run or i would suspect the Argos would have slid into that slot.
That is 3 years in a row that the team of the year is not a from hockey.
A pretty good sales pitch for sponsors to get involved with the CFL

Absolutely congratulation to the Riders, but more so for the entire province and others throughout our nation known as the best and rabid fans in Canada.

They are great fans now, but everyone seems to forget when there was a province-wide telethon to keep the team from folding. OK now send forth the shitstorm.

Sheeee, don’t bring that up. Riders fans don"t like to talk about that. They just like to preach to other fans about how great they are

Yeh, They should have just done like eastern Canada does and folded. If anything the Telethon is a big part of what makes them the greatest, It's called never give up and fight to the end, something the Montreals' and Ottawas' of the world no nothing about.

Heck why didn’t we here with the Argos do something like that a few years back.
Nothing like an old fashioned and creative telethon to drum up support.

I must have missed that CFL.com fan poll!!!  Not that Rider fans would ever stuff the ballot box on anything …Congrats to the Riders…The World Champions of 3 down Football !!!

cough Voted so by the Canadian Presscough, cough

Missing the big picture here by some is that two of the last three teams of the year have been CFL teams. Only 2012 was the Womens National Soccer team Olympic run or could have been three for three with the Argos in 2012.
Since 1966 the CFL's representation has been spotty at best and has been dominated by hockey clubs of course as well as the great seasons of the MLB baseball teams.
This is very huge that the CFL is getting so much exposure to enbale this to happen

Have to congratulate the Riders for sure on this. Nice job there.

But ESPN has named the Ottawa Senators as the No 1 sports team in Canada and No. 9 in all of North America.

We’ve all been there or worse, Hamilton had the Drive for '95, Montreal and Ottawa have both closed up shop twice, Toronto is starting to reach that point.

Americans don’t like socialized medicine… Hurry, we better axe ours and switch to a fully private model! Fox “News” thinks Canada is a liberal wasteland… Quick, round up the gays, women who have had abortions, and non-Christian heathens!

Yes, clearly we should be using the opinion of a foreign organization to judge/rank something that’s entirely domestic. I suppose that would make sense to some people…

The ESPN ratings i think only included NHL, NBA, NFL, and MLB.

Yes, that too; I thought I had editted my post to also reference that, but must have missed saving it.

In any case, it is indeed basically a listing of American-based leagues.

last i checked, Canada had 8 teams in 2013.
