I just realized that you referred to me as monk..... back in uni, I was nicknamed monkey for reasons that are clouded in a drunken haze (oddly enough), but I realized that the name had really caught on when there were people who didn't actually know my real name, and also when my nickname got it's own nickname (the shortened version)

Ah, the memories.... well, the less hazy ones. :slight_smile:

I'm in for the Riders!! I can't wait. I missed last weekends game so I am itchin for a Rider game to watch.

P.S. Does anyone have the Sask/Montreal game on tape? I have heard that it was one of the best games of the season and I missed it. Evidently, my Rider socks were very uncomfortable under my black socks so I didn't wear them to the wedding..... and we lost. Coincidence.... I think not! But never fret, they will be worn on Saturday.

Speaking of Rider clothing, I normally wear my Black Jersey, and up until saturday we were undefeated wearing it, so I held off buying a Green Jersey. Well we lost when I was wearing it so I bought a Dominguez Jersey. Hopefully it will be lucky.

I wouldnt mind taking the bet but, I dont complain about losing or refs or pay rolls or salary caps or grey cup contenders. I just fear the backlash if the Eskies do win. I Understand the stakes of the bet if you lose, but what about the winners? The winners will be talking so much smack I can feel my stomach getting ill already. Call me in if you'd like, but I dont feel like talking smack these days anyways. Sign me up for The Riders. Not like I care about the Stakes just sticking by my team.

Looks like all betters are in. The two Esks I was hoping for did not enter. Too bad. If the Riders win, I would have enjoyed not having to hear some of their comments. To the rest that are in, good luck to both sides. One way or another, some of the silly trash talk will stop after today. Not all of it though, since the biggest offenders on both sides did not join. Apparently, the money and the mouth did not meet.

I'm looking for a last minute concession from the Esks fans.

I have another post in this forum over Grey Cup tickets please -with a twist. It is my intention to continue to try and get grey cup tickets after this weekend despite the outcome of this game. I put in the rules that you are not allowed to speak of the Grey Cup. Am I allowed to continue to try and get tickets through this forum or is that not allowed seeing as the terms of the bet were solidified last night?

  • may not make any negative comment about Esk team or fans for remainder of season (including Grey Cup)
  • may not make any negative comment about reffing in any game for any reason
  • May not speak of Sasks involvment in the Grey Cup until the completion of said game
  • will not defend Saskatchewan (province, people, team, etc) for the remainder of the season.
  • will not make any reference to salary cap, bought teams, etc for remainder of season.

sad, but true. I am dissapointed that they did not pull through, but thankfully we will live to see another day. Good defensive game. May we meet again in the playoffs, I will be happy.

Have to say Redwhite2005, I would agree with you today. Burris looked very sharp last night after a slow start (granted Hamilton did not seem to be playing for the win as much as for player evaluations) and Crandell looked less than stellar today. But it was a great game, my heart was pounding a lot, and I was doing my part in making sure today's profanity quota would be met. I can't wait till next week.
