Ricky Ray placed on 6 game IR

That’s it. Argos fans aren’t demanding a better schedule than everyone else, just to be on the same footing. We probably all have aspects of the schedule we don’t care for, but the Toronto schedule “challenges” are extreme.

doug flutie led argos would have handled this schedule and still won the cup

The Argos should be able to work with BMO and TFC along the same lines as the Lions and Whitecaps. Correct? Neither stadium has a crazy 180 game, well half that for home games of course, “major league” team to contend with and in Toronto’s case, the “major league” team’s owner actually owns the joint. Remember Rogers doesn’t own BMO Field. And I think Mark Grimes and John Tory have made that perfectly clear to the control-freakish Rogers Communications, much to their displeasure despite how the Rogers controlled poppy press wants to spin things.

Hamilton had the exact same issue last season first 4 games all in the West and with a new young QB that was literally on the same exact level as Trevor Harris.
Hamilton last season was on the exact talent level as a team as Toronto. Toronto is better off in that Harris knows the system and their now back up McPherson has more CFL experience and also knows the system much more than Hamiltons two back ups last season.
So of course it would be better to have your hall of Fame and 1st team all CFL QB in the line up

With Ray on the 6 game the Argo's have a lot of $$$ right now to spend for a player that is available.
There are a few top players recently and still available who have not signed y>that are first line players. A couple at positions that the Argo's could use.
1.DE Jason Vega. Ad him to the DE rotation with Foley and the young kid they have.
2. Jock Sanders. With Steele now also out for awhile Sanders is a perfect fit for the Argo's. He has been a top CFL hybrid for a couple of seasons. He can run and catch the ball effecctively on offense. He also has been among the top return guys.
3. Rennie Cuuran. The Argo's are still looking for a WILLLB. All signs point to Greenwood being a first line LB and National starter. It could be possible to have him at WillLN while Curren steps in at MLB.

Heck with Rays 450K salary space they could sign all three now.

Ray is expected to be taken off the 6 game after 4 or 5 games so I don’t think that the Argonauts would get the cap space if that happens.

Besides Braley has been operating the team on a shoestring budget and I don’t see that changing in his last season of ownership.

Argo's season is over before it started. With a healthy Ricky Ray they would be .500 at best, without him they will be lucky to win more than 1 in thier first 6 and I don't see them recovering after that. 6-12 is in the ballpark of how they'll finish. Millanovich got lucky in his first season when he had a decent team, but has done nothing since. Just proves his success was more on his staff (most of whom are gone) than on him as a HC. They were a mimi disaster last year and will continue down that path this year. I see only one + 500 team in the east (Hamilton), but the Argos will be in the hunt for a playoff spot right to the end as 2nd place should go to a 7-11 or 8-10 team.

As for the schedule it shoudn't be an issue as the Argos have been a better road team than home team under Millanovich, both overall and in 2 of his 3 seasons.

Same could be said for Travis in BC.
If it takes 2 years for a shoulder to heal, the end is near. To bad, he was a future star with all kinds of records to break.
