With the Grey Cup coming to Winnipeg in 2006, don't be suprised if the Bombers make a big push for Ricky Ray. This could be quite the bidding war though. Looks like pretty much the whole CFL would be bidding for his services minus BC of course. He will make any team an instant contender!
Damn, I hope the Riders don't get him!

When it comes to Ricky Ray I'll just let out a big "Meh". He's a good young QB but I don't know if I'd like to see him in the Riders colours. I think that the Riders are just fine with the players we've got now, great depth at every position. As for Ricky in Winnipeg, I couldn't see it happening IMO I would think Edmonton would be the only place he'd be going.

It's almost the same personnel that lost to us every game we played last year right? Ya, not worried!
I think Ray will end up in Edmonton before Winnipeg. I think Edmonton still owns his playing rights.
sorry sportman, if he comes back to the CFL it is as a FA, heard so today on the radio.....
Interesting...R&W Do you know how long a team can retain a players "right" when they go else where? Just curious....
Ray will be in the NFL.
CLIP-BOARD STATUS in the NFL for Ricky this year........but maybe we will see him back in the CFL,,,,06.....or.........I'm sure there's a few teams up here just licking their chops to sign him........ and they better have the bucks cuz I'm sure he's gonna want a Printers type contract.....
not happenin KK...sorry to burst ur bubble.
HAHAHAH....I love it when Bomber fans talk smack (about beating the Riders when they didn't deserve to on 2 occasions) seeing how they missed the playoffs last year and they will continue to miss the playoffs this year.
Let me correct myself......Burris messed up 2 of those games (he fumbled on the goaline both games- huge turning points)...ya ..the same Burris that apparently was the only hope for the Riders and is now the ony hope for the Stamps.
well if i heard correctly, before burris was traded, he was the reason your team was good, so either you were wrong then, or you are wrong now, what is it?
rider fans- burris was your hero last year.. he could have sh#t on the field last year and you would have been raving about how he did it so well. the bombers beat ya fair every time last year. did you make mistakes- yeah, so did the bombers but they still beat you. are the bombers going to be great this year no. they will be average. but that is alright. what will be sad is all the crying rider fans finding excuses for why they are also just average unlike their high expectations. at best you will end up 5th in the league. sounds average to me.
I would love to make a bet with you on opening game this year that the Riders will absolutely smoke your Bombers!
The only Rider fans who think that Burris was the whole team were the uneducated fans who decide to watch the Riders when they start winning. I am an educated Rider fan, I watch every game and I know that when Henry was winning games, he was throwing for an average of about 270 ypg- the same type of numbers that Nealon puts up.
i think the riders will take the first game as well. however it will be the only one they take from the blue and gold this year.
CAUTIOUS OPTIMISM.....I like that blackdale. I think the west is going to be 'bigtime' exciting and close., unlike some of the lame predictions. Go BIG BLUE...
Wasn't the west close last year? Though they were hardly "exciting". Other than B.C., that is, who were the only GOOD team out there.
I think the standings are going to be pretty similar this year to what they were last year. B.C. dominates the west, followed by Edmonton at about .500, with Calgary moving up to 3rd. Saskatchewan and Winnipeg will battle for fourth, but it will be moot anyway because neither will have a record anywhere close to the big three in the east. Montreal will finish first, with Hamiton and Toronto hot on their heels, probably closer than last season. Ottawa will...well, on the bright side, they'll get first overall pick in next year's draft.
