Sad news.
Stubler had a 50 year coaching career and no doubt left his mark on thousands of players and colleagues.
He was also the architect of that 1986 defence that destroyed Dunigan and the Esks in the Grey Cup that year.

Stubler was usually pictured bent down, hands on knees, headset on, staring at the line of scrimmage to make sure his players were in place. A true CFL legend. Rest in Peace Coach.

Stubler always struck me as a “sleep in the office from training camp to playoffs” type coach. A real lifer that dedicated his life to football.
