Almost as unlikely as expansion to Baltimore again.......
Thanks for the Math lesson Barnes7. I tried a few combinations on paper and gave up!

This seems like a challenge.
Ok,
Let’s say Calgary has 3 regular season games against Edmonton and Toronto has 3 regular season games against Hamilton.
Calgary loses 1 against Edmonton, ties one and loses the other one.
Toronto and Hamilton do the same thing.
The records are then 1-1-1.
Now in the east vs west Hamilton has a record against Edmonton of 1-1 and against Calgary of 1-1. Same thing with Toronto.
Putting all records at 3-3-1. Now all 4 teams lose every game against all 4 other teams. This then puts all 4 bottom teams records at 3-14-1, meaning two of those teams make the playoffs. Unlikely yes, but possible.
I do not think American expansion is a very good idea anytime soon, but if it was needed to balance out a 12 team league, I think that the CFL should look to Anchorage.
The city is closer to CFL teams than NFL teams and will never get an NFL team, I think Anchorage would fit nicely in the CFL if an American team became needed, not that I think any American team is required.
As much as I dislike this topic as well, with the SMS US expansion could probably work. $4.05M CDN would be about $3.65M USD, so have them abide by the cap and they could field all the Americans they wanted.
Here is the Math.
One team loses every game except one and has a 1-17 record. That team does not make the playoffs.
Next last is a team that lost both their Quarterbacks due to injury early in the season and finishes with a 2-16 record.
Leaving 5th and 6th place teams with a 3-15, and a 4 - 14 record.
Some how although unlikely, the 5th and 6th place teams is on a hot streak and beat out everyone in the playoffs.
My point is regardless of the math, teams with losing records should not be making the playoffs. Period!
Hence the importance of needing a couple more teams in the league.
Or fewer playoff positions ...
bring back the stallions i'm in 2 hell with ottawa they have shown that they can't support a team.
Hey ... I just found this article (published February 1, 2007) from the Baltimore Examiner remembering Baltimore's CFL team:
Nice article! It's always good to see CFL news (or stories, or whatever) in the States. And it's really nice to see Baltimore still remembers the Stallions. It was a little heavy on the CFL-NFL comparison for my liking ("all these players went on to play in the NFL"), but that's probably to be expected, coming from an NFL city anyway. The Stallions were a great success story ... Too bad they had to leave.
And Ottawa can too support a team ...
This article can be found from a link in the first article … it’s in the same paper and mostly about the Alouettes, but it’s CFL news in an American paper nonetheless:

What a great league the CFL would be if those 3 teams were added.
Heh, thanks. I miss the Stallions, and I think they had one of the best logos, and names, ever. They did good to find a unique (no MLB, NBA, NHL or NFL team with the same name), horse-related name after being denied of Colts! That Rough Riders logo isn't exactly their classic one, but I absolutely LOVED it when they came out with it, and their helmet instantly became my favourite. And I wouldn't mind an updated helmet logo for the Atlantic Schooners (my suggestion: an anchor), but it's really not bad, and it looks a lot better without "Atlantic Schooners" encircling it.
I've been trying to think of what the best colours for a Halifax team would be (blue/green for sea and land, blue/white with yellow/red trim for Nova Scotia flag) but that maroon and gold looks pretty good! The logo I downloaded was either navy/gold or black/gold ... both of which look pretty good, but navy/gold is claimed (you could argue that so is black/gold). Wikipedia claims their colours were black/silver, which I really wouldn't like!
I actually like the Atlantic schooner logo and colors.
The bronze kinda relates to the schooner and I could not think of a better color.
