Retired Argonaut QB Zoom

Enjoyed watching past Argo QB's talking about some of their experiences while playing in Toronto. They all had some great performances and Grey Cup games. I guess Joe Theismann was the only non GC winning QB, but that (1971) was a game they should have won. Doug Flutie was missing and could be added to this group as past great Argo QB's.
The CFL is now having trouble finding the good shorter QB's like Flutie, Holloway and Barnes. The shorter good QB's like Wilson and Murray are being signed by the NFL now and the NCAA seem to be looking for those tall 6'3, 6'4, 6'5 guys first. But that is the way it is currently.

It’s not the size of the QB that makes a good QB. It’s the heart and ability. I think the NFL have come to realize this and are actively pursing QBs with this trait.

The 1971 game was theirs for the taking but I want to know who called a sweep, even with McQuay doing the running, instead of handing the ball to Simon who likely would have gotten in the end zone. I still see McQuay's elbow hit the turf as the ball pops in the air, all these years later. I thought Thornton was going to take the interception back all the way but he cut the wrong way. To his death, he regretted that. As bad as the weather was, it still is part of a great story and why I would hate to see too many domes in the league. Not crazy about the earlier starts either. What's wrong with a little snow and ice?
