This time those who frequent the forum or pay for the tickets aren't saying so, because it's become obvious your ego doesn't care what they think. it's an objective third party..
7-7 and people are throwing in the towel. Unreal. The Leafs could have 50-50 season after season after season and there would still be a waiting list for seasons.
Who wrote that article? Last night was a crapper but give some credit to that team from Winnipeg, they played damn good. We are all frustrated as are any sports fans who team isn't a consistent winner but if you're a fan you don't give up on the team.

sorry to say, but Leaf fans are a glutton for punishment.
Such a historic record of futility would not be tolerated in ANY city. (except Toronto)
Agreed. .500 isn’t the end of the world, and the team is not a bad one, it’s just frustrating to watch the team stuck in neutral for three years, especially when they show signs of being very good, and then come home and lay eggs.
Last night, the Winnipeg D was that good. I don’t think the players were making mistakes or bad decisions, as much as they were simply beaten by a better team last night.
This game, more than any other this season I believe, was going to indicate where we fall within the league this year, and Winnipeg was just that much better in t his important game.

Let's be fair about the Leafs sold out status. A lot of those seats are corporately held. If you watch the games at the ACC, a number of the bottom level seats are empty for sometime into the first period.
There is a long long waiting list for Leaf season tickets, so even if the current holders forfeit theirs, there is quickly someone else to take it.
And they finished near the bottom last season and have been waiting some 40 years for a league championship, seven season out of the playoffs. That's not loyalty ....that's foolish. It's the reason why the management there is so slow to change and improve. There's no motivation.
Well said Earl.
This team has a ton of talent
Obie has assembled a great team.
He addressed most of the defiencies on the team(DB’s excluded)
IMHO, Marcel is the one that is holding this team back.
When a talented team does NOT show up every other game and is ill prepared for their opponent it is on the head coach!
Don’t give up on this talented team, they have the ability, just no direction.
Earl, Don't compair the Maple Laughs to the Tiger Cat's. The CFL is gate driven while the NHL is driven by corporate sponsors, greed and goons who take head shots and idiots who like to fight. The CBC sponsors an idiot in rigiculios clothing who is a dineasor. The NHL is about money, ask Gary Betman. The same person who thinks hockey will survive in Phoenix...... The MMA is where the goons should fight.
Correction: The correct name of the professional (ha ha) hockey team in Hogtown is the Make Me Laughs. Please consider this to be a public service and is no way meant to disparage or put down Wildcats.
BTW that idiot in ridiculous clothing, who is a dinosaur was featured on Tiger Vision wearing some sun glasses he must have borrowed from Elton John last night as he took in the game.
BTW (x2) I personally don’t see the appeal in MMA. If you want to see such brutality why not save the dough and go to any downtown bar on a Saturday night?

I couldn't believe for the life of me the other night, first game of the season, and when I watched the Leafs/Habs game sure enough in the first few minutes of the second period, empty seats in the corporate area. Uggggggggggggly. :thdn: I almost threw up, sad, very sad. "Canada's game", what a friggin joke. :thdn:
But hey, Leafs "Nation" is what it is and it is big corporate money, soulless but money all the same. :?
You go Leafers, have your sub par season, season after season after season with corporate rich owners, and watch the "fans" line up for seasons all the same. :?
