You are right. AND riders too were on a 7 game loosing streak in 2023. Ford lost against Maze’s Toronto team last year badly. I am pretty sure, Ford cannot play full 4 quarters this Saturday. MBT will step up in some point. I think Edmonton should have bring against Hamilton after the resting week - 11. My opinion.

Are you suggesting that after having a Bye Week in Week 11, Tre Ford will lead the Edmonton Elkimos to another victory over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats at Tim Hortons Field ??

Unfortunately, most Canadian fans of the CFL are conditioned to believe in that bias against Canadian QBs in the CFL.
Exactly, there not perfect but I will take there evaluation of a player ahead of people who aren’t in the business. The problem with Rourke is he can’t be the same as the backup he has to be even better. A lot of teams will stay loyal to there existing backup because they know what they have. Some people think it’s because he Canadian. A college coach once said to me , I would take a guy from North Korea if he could help me win. There are approximately 40 international players in the NFL. It’s all about winning and if they don’t it’s his head on the chopper block.

He should do fine as long as they adjust the offence to his skill set and do NOT try and make him a pocket passer. Better yet they would practice both systems like in the past with wilki and moon so they can both be used if one is not having success. That would make the opponent have to adjust to two completely different styles. Who knows it worked for Edmonton in the past winning 5 grey cups using two good quarterbacks!

Eagle01 Well, let’s see. Jones went 0-9 until he put Tre Ford in. Jackson this year has followed the same script. Thing is they don’t believe a Cdn can do the job. Jackson, Rourke and Ford are all good enough in my mind to play in the NFL. That’s my bias.
I disagree that Nathan Rourkes are a dime a dozen down south. Yes, they have talent down there but Rourke is not your average QB. I do believe they, coaches, have tunnel vision and don’t give an equal chance.

When you lead the league in passes 5 yards and under that means the defence can stay “in the box” and you can’t run.
Ford - is far better at handing off than MBT and offers a run threat defences must respect. In 10 minutes of game time the team had more than half their full game run average.

Point 1. is actually the point 5. They are last in the league for Special teams/ 5. Last in field goal %. It is about the field goals not the Special team all together. It was not right.
Point 2. Total points made in all 7 games is 174 and the total points against totaled 216. That is -6 per game. Last in the league. Next is Calgary -4.57.
Point 3. Total average yards per game is 325.4 and the total yards per game against is 389. The difference is -63.6 - That is last in the league. Next is Toronto -51.43
Point 4. That is right. It is tied with 4 other teams. But that is the last ranked.

Stats does not tall all the stories. But I had another stats about time of possession. When you run the ball more on the ground, the time of possession increases. I think EDM lost at least 3 games (not sure- may be more) with 3 points different.
So when you are proved wrong change your story…funny you even want to argue the points I agree with you on…
…and of course ignore the fact they have created as many turnovers as they have made - for a 0 balance.

Good luck. Hope Elks can win some games with Ford and then we argue more.
Turnovers and coach’s decisions made the teams to loose even when the teams have made more yards.
About what then now? Winning is cause for celebration. There’s plenty of time to debate after a loss.

I agree. CFL should promote Canadian QB’s. CFL could mandate each team should have a Canadian QB out of their 3 in the Active roaster. This will boost the QBs to look for better chances. And you may need chances to improve and show your performances. #CFL
