The price of a successful team. We never have that problem in Hamilton. The successful players move on (White soon) while the rest of the team stagnates.

As for the Argos, this is more than a successful team losing players. They are getting absolutely gutted. Are they sleeping on the phone?

Very true. The home team has the final at bat. If we’ve learned anything about free agency in the past, the biggest spenders (like the Elks under Sunderland, Burke in Ottawa) never got much return for their $$$. But they were the big winners in FA - yay.

Amazing what a Riderb GM can get done when he feels the gallows noose around his neck… Or any GM for that matter.
As always time will tell if he done good or not.
Just keep in mind there was room to get worse than what took place the last two seasons. So that being said he does have to good even with a three year contract for himself because the cfl IS now allowing for one Mulligan so to speak for a bad management and other non playing staff contracts in every 5 years so there is no penalty if the board feels they need to part ways

Spending to the cap is what every team does, or should do.

If you have evidence they are going over, let’s see it. If not, then you’re just spouting nonsense conspiracy theory crap.

Can’t fault him to date. I would have gone hard on a top receiver rather than RB only because Hickson & Morrow gives them a decent run game. I’m not sold on the receivers yet but early days. Ouellette’s a stud. Hardrick was almost a must have. And Thurman seems to have been around forever but is still on the right side of 30 & a much under appreciated LB IMO.

Good teams have three things. As I proceed to list more than three things …
A guy to run with the rock. A guy to throw thet same rock. A few stellar guys that catch every rock thrown their way even if the throw is somewhat errant.
It also helps to have guys that can kick the rock and above all a D that can make the other teams just kick the ball…
Yea I know , I should be a gm/ coach.
