TORONTO — Mathieu Betts appears to be headed from one Lions den to another.

TSN’s Farhan Lalji has reported that Betts, the CFL’s Most Outstanding Defensive Player in 2023 with the BC Lions, will sign with the NFL’s Detroit Lions.

I’ll bet that Mathieu Betts pulls an Alex Singleton during his wildly lucrative multi-year stint in Detroit. All CFL quarterbacks not named Vernon Adams Jr will be popping champagne corks today. Go Betts!

I highly doubt he will play on an NFL defensive line at 249 pounds. They will likely ask him to play linebacker.
