I’m just glad he didn’t sign with the Ticats

Why would he ? I mean seriously you would have to be out of your mind to sign with that going nowhere runaway train wreck out of the playoffs 2-9 disaster of a team.

Very happy for this. Without Hladik, the defence has been soft. This will toughen them up. I was hoping for the Canadian Eagle too but he’s going the Bears practice roster path. Too bad. Lions offence could also use some toughening up. No complaints, though. Just happy to see Betts back in CFL action.

Yea… fair enough lol. There was some rumblings that the Cats had the cap space and I didn’t want to have to watch him ruin teams in the east :joy: He’s a scary player

Please understand the NFL. The minor league starts in Pee Wee and progresses through College. There are truly outstanding kids that play all sports, especially Football. Sad to say most Canadians can pull it off. It’s primarily because of the system here in the states. First, at most positions the competition is not close. Therein, lies the most major obstacle. We have played football in my family for close to 100 years. Only two have made the NFL. High School is a piece of cake. The competition goes off the charts in college. Canadians just don’t see that level of competition.

I would bet money that BC is over the cap.

With their very weak D ,Betts will help some ,but a rebuild will be needed including a new DC,the lions offense has too many passengers to win games no matter what rourke does

The Lions could spend well over the cap and they will be fined, but it doesn’t stop them from doing it. It’s not like the CFL would suspend or shut them down for going over the cap, the CFL would get the fine money.

Call Shawn Lemon to place your bet , I hear he’s not doing much these days.

His one and only move is to go wide there was no way he was gonna make it down there

Most DE’s in the NFL are 20-30 pounds heavier than him. A 250 pounder like Betts would be bullied most of the time against those 320+ pound OT in the NFL.

I’m honestly surprised that they didn’t try him out at LB ?

I think the tried him at LB in camp, but in the preseason he played DE.
