Could see that coming a mile away. Had 656 yds 1st 6 games. Way too many dropped passes after that. Averaged 28 yds/game in last 10 games. Big risk signing this guy but somebody will take a look at him. Only 28.

Hollins couldn’t catch a cold if his life depended on it. Now we can sign McInnis who will grab everything in sight.

Why would your life depend on catching a cold ?

The stats don’t support your opinion.

2023, he had 78 receptions for 1173 yards, and in 2024 he had 61 receptions for 937 yards. (see https://www.statscrew.com/football/stats/p-holliale001)

So he was pretty close to being a thousand yard receiver for two consecutive years.

Exactly…Now if I’m Bomber GM Kyle Walters, I sign Lawler and make an offer to Hollins out of the Schoen budget. Lawler, Hollins, Demski and Mitchell would be a fine receiving corps.

I’m not so big on Hollins. Drops too many passes. The anti Lawler. Assuming they are in the same neighbourhood price wise I would much prefer Schoen over Hollins, and of course Lawler over both. I’m confident Lawler will get signed. We’ll see about these other two.

Schoen has good hands but a bad knee which will bring him down again sooner, rather than later. At least Hollins will be on the field while he’s cashing his cheques and not laying on the bench. Maybe a scene change improves Hollin’s play, maybe not…I’d be willing to find out. Let someone else pay Schoen for 1/2 a season (or less…again)

Anti-Lawler is funny though…

…And I would rather take Hollins and sign T. Ford, vs. paying up for Schoen and letting Ford go.

Better yet…Forget Hollins and let Schoen go. Develop Clercius and Wheatfall, put them in with Lawler, Demski and Mitchell, then take Schoen $$ and acquire a succession plan QB for the very near future.

I’m not so sure that Schoen will get more than Hollins at the end of the day. we’ll see. Schoen is better, but that injury thing you mention.

I also don’t think the Bombers will lose Ford because of money. I think if he leaves it will be because he wants to play with his brother.

I don’t like to see good players go, but no matter how it ends up the Bombers should again have the best secondary and set of receivers in the league. They can afford to lose someone there. Ford isn’t Nichols by any measure. I am more worried about both lines and linebacker.

I agree with you re: O/D lines…real sore spots there. Tony Jones will step up and lead the LB corps one day. Feeling good about that.

He kind of vanished as the season went on last year.
