The Als are locking up their big pieces. No ownership problems this year. Arguably the best MLB in the league right now.

Excellent moves by Montreal. Nice to see Sankey sign a 2 year deal. Too many 1 year contracts in this league.

Fajardo, Lemon and Sankey, that is already a better retention rate than all of last year. It’s amazing what a Grey Cup and supportive ownership can do

Well some teams are locking up players longer. If you have a lot of older players, like Lemon, you should only be signing them for 1 year. But you look at a young team like the Elks. They only had 18 players up for FA, Als 23, BC 22. A lot of the players they want long term have been signed up. Older teams like the TiCats & Bombers are at the other end with 36, 37 players because they’ve a lot of older veterans - why sign them longer?:sunglasses:

Riders never should have let this guy get away. He was a guy that signed with them because he wanted to be there. Real impact player, big misatake.

I guess the Als will start 2024 at the top of the standings chart.
