As an avid fan of history I cannot believe the things people did when called upon in WW1 and WW2 (and of course later conflicts, I've just spent most of my time reading upon those two). The hard and dangerous work Canadians did in the merchant navy in WW2 is just incredible to read about.

When one considers what all those in the war years endured, year after year, it makes our current difficulties seem much more manageable?
