Remember Remembrance Day

We in Canada our so fortunate for the basic freedoms we almost take for granted each day. We live democracy every day without having to fight for basic rights. On this day, Remembrance Day, we need to stop for a moment and pay homage to those who fought for these freedoms that should be valued more by us.
If our greatest debates are CFL and NHL sport rivalries, we need to take stock and realize how lucky we truly are. Sure, there are minor problems in our country but compared to the world we live in paradise.
To our veterans alive and gone, we salute you today and hope you realize you are still appreciated. Your valour and courage defending our democratic freedoms IS APPRECIATED BY US!! DEMONSTRATE THIS APPRECIATION TODAY IN YOUR OWN WAY- WHATEVER WORKS FOR YOU BUT TAKE A MOMENT.

REMEMBRANCE DAY
LEST WE FORGET!! :rockin:

I had 11 uncles who served in the forces during WWII , one did not return home . ME AND MY FAMILY REMEMBER ALL WHO GAVE UP THEIR LIVES FOR THE FREEDOMS WE ENJOY TODAY - GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

Do not forget to pass on the heritage and the proper respect to the next generation as well!

I have taught all my grandchildren to go to any soldier they see in uniform, shake his/her hand and say "Thank you for serving our country". Not just on Rememberance day either, but everyday, we should be grateful for the sacrifice and service of our men and women in the armed forces.

Freedom is NOT free!

Never Forget! Never again!

Great illustration Bobo.

To those who disrespected the prayer and moment of silence at the game...doing so to the National Anthem is one thing, but they should have been tarred, feathered, and banned from the stadiums for life.

just shameful.
