Reilly on Whitehead: 'His energy is infectious'

MONTREAL —  While he was initially looked at as a return specialist, Lucky Whitehead‘s game has evolved week after and week and has been a major player during the Lions’ three-game winning streak.

I was very impressed with the Lions victory in Week 7. Michael Reilly had another great game versus the Als. Lucky Whitehead gets my game ball with 9 grabs for 133 yards and a major. Look forward to Week 8 when the Lions will host the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Can their 3 game win streak continue ? :star_struck: :lion: :hash: :four:

Lucky is doing what Duron Carter was supposed to(& never did) for the Lions. Had to laugh to the TSN interview where Reilly said Lucky's energy & enthusiasm weren't so great when you want to sleep on the plane. I get the feeling he's a real fireplug. Great year for him so far, keep it up.

I think WPG misses him. Happy he's getting the recognition though.

IMO he's the most exciting player to watch in the league right now.

At 6-1 it doesn't seem like they're missing him too too much.

He'd be a huge upgrade right now over Nelson on returns, and we had early injuries at WR. Bombers could have used him for sure.

Well shut my mouth!!! I thought Reilly would be running for his life all game but the O line did a great job so full credit to them!!! The run game..............different story! 3 yard average from the feature back just ain't gonna cut it against their Western rivals. A Big Shout Out to Coach Ryan Philipps for turning the Defensive backfield into Ball Hawks!!! Great Game Lions!!!

Three home games with Riders, Bombers & Stamps on deck before venturing out to the Peg & Toronto. With the win over Als, I'm starting to believe. The 2 losses were both close. I think having 2 games with Ottawa has them very confident. Right now 3 Divisions - The Big Boys - Wpg, Sk & BC, the Wannabees - Tor, Mtl & Ham, & the Sad Sacks - Edm, Cal & Ottawa. Has there ever been a season when both Alberta teams missed the playoffs? Can't remember one.

Stop mourning his loss LetsGoBlue. Lucky is in a better place now (stifling tears). We must let go...

In lieu of flowers the family would like all of you to just cheer for the Bombers.
Thank you. :sleepy:

Perhaps the term 'infectious' is inappropriate at this time. :stuck_out_tongue:

I always love Lucky when he played for my Cowboys. I knew any team that signed him was getting a good one
