REDBLACKS enter off-season on high note after comeback victory

MONTREAL — The Ottawa REDBLACKS found a way to end a disappointing season on a high note.

The team snapped a six-game losing skid by storming back late to claim a 19-18 victory over the playoff-bound Montreal Alouettes in their regular season finale, and multiple players stepped up to give the team hope heading into the off-season.

I really liked Lapo's decision to aggressively go for the win. Nice to see them end on an optimistic note, their fans deserved it.

It's only 3 teams will end this season on a winning note.

The Montreal Alouettes used a ultra conservative game plan versus the 2-11 Ottawa Redblacks at home in Week 16. After trailing 3-0 in the first frame, the Als scored 18 unanswered points leading 18-3 at halftime. Head coach Jones decides to pull his feature running back-William Stanback,in the second half  The Redblacks capitalize on two costly fumbles. With 2:34 seconds on the clock, in the 4th frame the Als prevent Defense failed to show up. The irony is that the Als missed a PAT & a 2 point convert in the first half. :interrobang:

P.S. The Als now limp into the East Semi Final coming off a loss to the Redblacks who were winless in "6 games" :yin_yang: Final score Redblacks19 Als-18
